Case in Point: Social Media Groundswell for "Disk is Dead" Campaign

The 2015 launch of Violin’s Flash Storage Platform (FSP) that incorporated all flash arrays marked a sea change in the enterprise and data center storage market.  Working closely with Violin’s marketing team, Walt & Company drove a social media program supporting the company’s “Disk is Dead” marketing campaign.  Taking an aggressive stance on the market, Walt & Company created digital ads centered around a contest to attend the "Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead” concert at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The digital ads were delivered directly into press’, analysts’, IT managers’ and strategic C-level enterprise decision-makers’ social media news feeds about the campaign to encourage brand engagement and contest entry.
